'nice' nightdress with buttons?

Hi I'm looking for a not grannyish nightie for the hospital. Needs to have some stretch in it and have buttons down the front. I've tried BHS, M&S and Sainsburys and can't find any that are not really ugly! Anyone spotted any recently?

I wouldn't go to any effort for hospital night dresses, mine had to go straight in the bin after having ds as they got covered in blood, guts and waters (sorry! ).

For this time I have bought primark ones £3 each and they're just plain navy blue with buttons down the chest.

I had blue spotty ones from debenhams that weren't that hideous. Mine didn't get trashed, so will keep for next time :)

Thanks! x

Got a couple of Primark ones for the hospital last week, £4.50 each, spotty with buttons down the front. Got them from there specifically in case of the aforementioned blood and guts issue arising! I'll get something else if I have to after the birth.

I would go for a strappy slip type thing if you can.....it is so hot on the wards that you actually want as little on your top half as possible....

I have a great night shirt type thing from Gap. It's from the gap body range, it's grey and is button all the way down the front, it's so comfy I spend a lot of time wearing it and it will be in my hospital bag! I'm having a c section and I am planning to get straight into after the section.

Debenhams Sale is on at the moment saw some nice ones there.

I'm going to be buying a cheapo one that isn't too pretty as I'm messy at the best of times without milk coming out one end, bleeding the other and probably some kind of wee-wee mishap come nappy-changing time. Grin Might bring a spare too

Peacocks have a few that button down to under the boob area. I also got one from M and S that buttons all the way down, but that was a wee while ago.

I second debenhams - they do jasper conran shirt style ones. when I was in hospital for a while we referred to it as the Saturday night nightie!

Also got Primark nightdress but plan to wear a big t-shirt in actual labour (or nothing) as the nightdress is a bit long. I got Topshop maternity PJs for my 'nice' thing to wear for visitors after.

Argh I really struggled to find a not hideous strappy nightie as well. I have ended up getting a cotton dress from H+M and I have also packed just a strappy cami dress/top from primark. I am due 19th July and hate being too warm so I didn't want sleeves or anything too long. Good luck!

I also ended up with a cheap H&M jersey dress (not nightwear) which I have 'customised' by taking a pair is scissors to the front and then attaching some poppers.
