How do you know if your waters are leaking?

Sorry if this is a stupid question! I'm just a bit worried, I am 18 weeks and twice in the last 2 days have had a small gush of liquid in my pants. It's happened just after going to the loo. I guess it could be wee, but I'm not sure! It had only happened twice so far but if it carries on I will ring my midwife. Thought I'd ask here before bothering her, has anyone else had something like this? Is this just something I should get used to?! Thanks :)

The smell will tell you - waters smell quite sweet and wee, well, smells like wee. :)

Hmmm think I've leaked mine then a few days ago I had v wet underwear and it smelt like semen sweet smell? Is this right

Could just be discharge(ew, sorry!) with ds2 I rang the hospital as I was leaking 'stuff'. Told me to lie down on my left side for about 30mins then, when I stand up, if it comes out again to call her back. If it's your waters It pools when you do this. Mine was just discharge tho. But I panicked as my waters went at 23wks with ds1. Currently 18wks with dc3 and panic with every sensation of moisture down there!!
Oh and when you pee, double-drain(my little name for it!) I mean, when you've finished peeing, try and squeeze a bit more out so you know you're definitely done. Things are all over the place in there so a bit can get left behind and um dribble out soon afterwards!

I got this every time I did a wee... When I stood up a little more would squeeze out. Midwife said it was something to do with the baby constricting my bladder.

It's unlikely to be your waters if it's only happening when you have a wee... But worth mentioning to your midwife.

Best to be checked. My waters were leaking with dc2 and I thought it was just wee leaking out randomly. I didn't realise til the wee turned green . I did sniff my pants (there's a sentence I never thought I'd say!) and I couldn't smell anything sweet/semen-like or like wee really. Best to ask your midwife.
