Placenta Previa

Hi, I am 27wks preg and have a low-lying placenta. I am going on hol to Spain next week and am worried about bleeding while I'm away. Has anyone else had bleeding with placenta previa? If so, how many weeks were you and what did docs do?

If you bleed you need urgent medical attention. Make sure you have your notes at all times and know where the nearest hospital is. I have pp and was advised not to travel. It's probably worth double checking your insurance is valid and that your dr is happy with your plan.

I had bleeding at 6w, 11w and 32w - baby had to come out then.

There was a recent thread on here about this and the poster was advised by her hospital not to fly. If you bleed in Spain the doctors may well decide you are not fit to fly home and you would be stuck in hospital until baby arrives (in Spain). Please re-consider - your insurance will cover if you have to cancel.
