bleeding again???

Hi ladies,
Im currently 3 weeks post partum. My bleeding stopped around 3 days ago and I was just getting a milky coloured discharge. I went to the toilet last night and due to my pain meds that the hospital supplied me with after my episitomy im a little bunged up. I managed to go - evetually, but was rather uncomfortable and strained a little. Im now bleeding again!! Ive double checked and its definately coming from my vagina. The blood is quite red and mucusy. Its not too heavy though. Is this normal? Have a reopened the wound maybe? It doesn't hurt. I'm just a little worried.

I believe it's considered normal to bleed for up to 6 weeks postpartum. From my previous experience it can be a bit on/off during that time, especially if you have a day or two of being more active than usual.

I have been on the go a bit the past couple days. Maybe ive just overdone it. Thanks

Mine stop started a bit too but if you're concerned if it gets worse, get some medic advice. Not a bad idea to take to easy for a few days!
