What are these pains???

I am 38+3 weeks and had the worst night so far! I woke up with horrible stomach pains and intense tightening which came regularly, every 15 mins or so. I am feeling a bit better now but still have low back pain and painful tightenings...just wondering if this could be the beginning of labour etc..please help thanks.

Sound like Braxton Hicks - practice contractions.

BH, I had them with dd. They are very uncomfortable and took my breath away each time. TBH it felt as though dd was curled up into a ball and was trying to push her way out lol.

Apparently they are meant to be a good sign, your body is getting ready..!
