Hi everyone,

Does anyone else feel absolutely awful I am 9+2 with my fourth and I really can't remember feeling this badSad .It is twelve years since my last so I am quite a bit older (nearly 37) so maybe it is this. Constant nausea all day and night listless exhausted and extremely breathless which is definitely a new one to me. Had iron levels checked and they fine! I feel like such a moany old cow but this just feels relentless . Can't seem to keep on top of anything at home and dread going to work. I know this will pass but it feels like an age away.

I'm on my third, 7 weeks today, and I don't think I was ever this exhausted with either of the others. I feel utterly rotten. I count down the minutes to DH getting home (currently SAHM) and often end up in tears on him when he does get back because everything just feels so rotten. Like you I have constant non stop, 24hrs a day nausea. It is utterly draining and depressing. The nausea alone would make you exhausted I'm sure, and a job and 3 kids on top isn't going to make it easy for you to get much extra rest to help. Did you mention the breathlessness when you had iron levels checked? Have you cosidered requesting medication for the nausea? I am off to the docs thismorning to try just that - I don't feel I can cope with it any more and I'm barely looking after the 2 I have which makes me feel awful.

Sorry, that was all rather me me me but meant as a 'you are not alone' sort of a ramble. It's awful, you have my every sympathy. Hopefully you will get a bit of let up soon but I know it feels like it's an eternity away.

I have no real words of help use or comfort but you're not alone. It really sucks. And you're not a moany old cow, you have every right to moan as much as you have the energy to do so!

Oh ladies I feel for you, I'm now coming to the end of my pregnancy but I remember that feeling before about 18-20 weeks. I think I cried every day, was sick & felt sick continuously & could have slept all day!! I had a 7 years gap & seemed to forget it how hard it is.... Remember it will get better & look at the big picture...baby a the end Grin find a thread/start a thread just to have a moan on, defiantly helps WinkWink

Good luck Thanks

Thanks guys it just helps hearing that others are feeling like this ( sorry that you are though) I have docs this afternoon so I shall see what they say. I was a bit shocked at my booking in appointment by how little I actually see the midwife for ante natal care and how they weren't overly interested in how I was feeling. bit different to my last pregnancies. Let me know how you get on at the docs Wink Wink

Hi I'm pregnant with my fourth and it's much more tiring if it's any consolation weeks 9-10 were by far the worst so far for me. I am 26 weeks now and been feeling ok since week 11. I'm just waiting for the dreaded third trimester thoughGrin so much worse when you know what's coming!!!

LBNM19 · 08/07/2014 09:38

I sympathise with you to I'm 24 and pregnant with my 2nd this pregnacy has been horrendous. The sickness lasted till 16 weeks and I'm constantly unwell, chest infection, urine infection etc. 25 weeks tomorrow so still got a way to go.

The sickness really is the worse part I hope it eases up soon xxx

LuckyAugust · 08/07/2014 10:16

Some sympathy coming your way from me too. I'm 8+2 and feel rubbish- tired, achy and very sick. Actually got some sickness medication off GP yesterday, took last night and this morning and yey it works!!! Downside is I feel as drowsy as hell so doesn't look like I'll be able to take during the day. I have 2 ds's to look after too (4 years and 14 months). When I've been pregnant before its tended to get easier from around week 13...............

weebairn · 08/07/2014 11:34

9 weeks was the absolute worst bit for me, and yes ten times worse 2nd time round with a toddler. Hopefully it will ease up for you in the next few weeks, it does for most women. Take care.

Snap Hun. I'm 8+2 today, feel absolutely rubbish, I wake up feeling like I haven't been to sleep, feeling travel sick most the day (but not vomiting...yet), this is my 5th baby!! (Mad huh!) never felt this terrible before, I'm sure I'm carrying an Alien it's draining me lol. My heart races when I'm resting as well so I'm goin to mention it to MW at my booking appt on Friday, but I doubt they'll b very helpful as they very rarely are they just leave you to it once your past your 2nd pregnancy. Let's hope the nxt few weeks fly past, but ur really not alone Hun. Jo x

Well I went to the docs. She was pretty reluctant to prescribe anything at first and I wasn't very good at gettign across all the stuff I can't do because I feel too ill (like wear trousers, travel in a car, look after my kids!) but I must have looked hopeless enough and said 'I can't cope' enough times as she did prescribe antiemetics in the end and even said to come back if they don't help enough.

Despite being able to take it whilst pregnant, apparently I MUST NOT breast feed DD so I have to get her to drop her last feed, don't think she'll be pleased!

Katey hope your doc is sympathetic and helpful, but be prepared to push if you need to. Let us know how you get on.

I feel exactly the same. I'm 8+6 and week 6 was horrendous. I would get home from work and go to bed almost straight away. I'm tired, moody and I can't concentrate at work. As work don't know yet I'm having to hide feeling so crap which makes it worse. Sickness didn't his me until the 6th week either and it comes and goes but when i do feel sick I feel it all day. But I went and bought some sea bands go travel sickness last night and I don't know if it's a placebo but they seem to be working so far! Last night I managed to sit and watch TV on the sofa and paint my toe nails which I couldn't have imagined doing last week! Maybe worth investing!
