Only 18 weeks- what is this pressure feeling? Anyone else have it?

I just feel like I need to pee all the time.

This is my second child and I didn't have it the last time. I just feel like there is a huge heavy weight bearing down on my bladder area and it verges on pain sometimes. Is this normal?

I'm only 18 weeks so the baby can't be that heavy, surely?

Depends how your baby is positioned.. Mine was at 20 weeks scan feet down.. The feet where right on top of my bladder that even the sonographer asked if I was in a lot of pain or had a lot of pressure down there.. I wasn't in a lot of pain but felt the pressure and had to wee a lot..

Some days I have this, other days I don't. Yesterday was horrendous. It honestly felt like baby was using my bladder as a trampoline. I don't have masses of pain but it's very uncomfortable. If you're concerned can you speak to your midwife?

I had this at 18weeks - it was a bladder infection - sometimes there are no other symptoms. Chances are you're not due for a mw appt for a while so it might be worth seeing nurse at gps for a urine test just to check.

Yes I get this at 25 weeks and have done since about 18w. DD seems to like to settle right on top of my bladder (and on top of the low lying anterior placenta I produced) Only way I can get her to shift and get relief is to lie on my back and stick my feet in the air. It can be bloody agony at time especially now she's getting bigger and harder to move.

It's worse if I've been on my feet for long periods of time (every day in my job) so as long as I sit frequently, it's not as bad.
