Is it normal to have loads of aches and pains at 37weeks?

I really don't remember feeling like this when pg with dd1, but I'm so fed up of being uncomfortable and in pain most of the day.

Was I lucky the first time? Is this normal? And is there anything I can do about it?!

I don't know if it is normal but I am also 37 weeks and in pain most of the time. I had a little moan about it on a thread earlier today. I really can't tell any more whether my pains are my spd, braxton hicks or back pain but every time I move my lower half hurts somewhere. This is also my second and I don't remember feeling like this last time (might be selective amnesia). In addition the medication I have been taking for reflux doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only one. (Well it's not good, but you know when I mean). I just feel so pathetic at the moment. With dd1 I had no idea labour was imminent until I woke up with proper contractions - now I feel it could actually happen at any moment!

I would love to think that all the pains were a sign that something was going to happen soon but I doubt it. I was 11 days over with DC1 and fully expect the same to happen again. I don't think my little one has engaged yet and my bump is still quite high. However, when I stand up it feels to all intents and purposes as if the baby could just fall out any minute, taking most of my undercarriage with it.

Yy!! One minute she up in my ribs, then next it feels likes she's head butting me from the inside.

I'm so looking forward to first day of mat leave when dd is at preschool (next tues!!)
