Numbness left thigh.. 34 weeks

Hi all,

Dr Google tells me this is probably baby squashing important bits. (Nerves etc) But I wondered if anyone else has experienced similar?

No pain, no swelling, just the occasional pins and needles and coldness in my left thigh. This usually occurs when I'm standing and tends to go off if I rest up for a bit (maybe baby moves?)

Currently 34 weeks and have had this on and off for a while now. It's only just started to concern me, guess it's getting worse as the baby gets bigger!

Never had DVT but guess that would be painful and/or include swelling? Will bring up with midwife when I see her next anyway but any experiences welcome please!!

:)

I had this with DC1 - the front of my right thigh would go numb - apparently was just how baby was positioned at the time and nothing to worry about - certainly for me it was nothing serious - but I was concerned enough at the time to raise it with my MW.

If it goes after resting / changing position I wouldn't be too worried - but a call to your MW to put your mind at rest could be an idea.

I get exactly that in my right thigh, off and on for weeks now, and I assume it's the baby squishing nerves.

Thanks ladies, I keep forgetting to write all these things down to ask the midwife!

It's nice to know others have experienced this. As soon as it's gone I wonder if I was making it up!

I will bring it up on weds at my next appt, unless it gets worse between now and then and I will give her a call to check it's nothing sinister! :)
