Hi,

I got my bfp on Friday, a line on a frer and 1-2 weeks on cb digital. I took another frer this morning with FMU, and the line was slightly lighter!

I think my wee was quite diluted, and I peed on the actual stick instead of dipping it in a cup, could this have an affect?

Also, I had some brown spotting the week before, so now I am all sorts of worried and can't phone the doctors until tomorrow. I know it's probably irrational, at least I hope it is.

Dont panic! Line strength can vary a lo

I had this when I was preg with dd2. I took 3 tests over a couple of days and they got lighter. I also bled a bit so was very confused over if I was preg or not. She's now nearly 4! So you could be....

Thank you, I think I'm just a worrier. Getting some more frers this morning and holding my wee. It's not the most comfortable!

I had this with my 3rd and am now 21 weeks. It was not planned so I was confused about whether it meant I was pg or not as my first two had strong lines straight away. I carried on testing for a week and lines did not get any stronger and took ages to appear, much longer than the time stated on the test.

It is natural to worry. It may be that you are nor that far along and so hormones are not very strong at the moment. If you have taken a digital them I think you can be pretty sure you are pg as it would not give you a positive reading unless the test had recognised the pregnancy hormone.

Congratulations!

Thank you, I just took another one which was equally faint, though my wee wasn't the strongest. I thought I ovulated on June 16th, but maybe not! Surely the lines would be stronger by now. Hmm.

I never understand why people do test after test. I just always done one and booked in at the gp.

Stop testing, you'll drive yourself nuts.

LimBeeHoon · 06/07/2014 09:47

I most certainly am doing that.

I think a visit to the GP is in order.

He will ask you to do a hcg strip test in the toilet and then will either tell you you are not pregnant based on the test line being lighter than the control line (this was my very helpful Doctors official verdict) or if you have a doctor who isn't a dick, will recognise the tests are faint and organise some quantitive blood testing to see if your numbers are doubling.

Good luck xx

Cant you do one of those digi tests that tell u how far along u are (eg 5 weeks?) i had a faint plus sign on mine..took a photo and texted it to a mate for second opinion! She said get a digi one (which said 3 weeks preg) and here I am with my DS asleep in the nursery. Faint positives still usually mean prego usually!

LimBeeHoon · 06/07/2014 10:43

I did do a digi, 1-2 weeks on Friday. Will phone the doctors tomorrow. I hope everything is ok.

I did two digi first one said 1-2 weeks and did the second one three days later and it said 2-3 weeks so maybe try another digi you can get 2 in a pack for £10 witch I think is reasonable price for two digital tests good luck xx

I did an ic this afternoon, about an hour after my last wee and bfn. Going to try and get in at the doctors tomorrow morning for a blood test, but now I'm preparing myself for the worst.
