Help - should I be worried?
My bump has bloated significantly in the last couple of hours and I'm feeling desperately thirsty. Baby seems to be moving. I'm feeling slightly nauseus which is unusual for me but nothing serious. I'm 27 weeks.

The bloating im unsure of? Could it be the baby has changed position? In regards to the thirst I am always thirsty have been throughout entire pregnancy can get through 3 litres if not more in a day. If your still worried maybe call your midwife? Hope all's ok

Thanks for the quick reply Redz - I guess it could be a change of position but it feels like an all over thickening and puffiness compared to what's normally a hard bump. I presume there's no emergnecy anyway if baby is moving is there?

Feeling very thirsty and nauseous can be a sign of having too much glucose in your blood. It's not an immediately dangerous thing, but needs to be watched. Try cutting out all sugar and sweet foods, puddings, biscuits, cakes, chocolate, icecream etc from your diet immediately. Also white bread in any form. Eat more small meals - don't eat until you feel full. Drink as much as you like. If it's to do with sugar then you will start to feel better within a few days. If the bump continues to bloat, or if you continue to feel 'wrong', then I would go to see the midwife asap. HTH

Its always a good sign if babys still moving at least he/she seems happy. If its still like that in the morning maybe call MW or of your having any major discomfort. Have you eaten anything out of the ordinary this evening? Or waited long in between meals? that could cause the bloatedness. And with baby taking up room feels like your bellys enormous. Try drinking alot of water see how you feel, although you might be on loo all night!

Thank you. I have a midwife appointment on Monday morning I have remembered - I will take all your advice and will leave it until then unless things feeling odd in the morning! I don't have much faith in my midwife though. She doesn't seem very on the ball.
