Pains in cervix?

34+5 today. Baby is head down, back to back and free. Keep getting quite sharp pains in my cervix(?) when stood or halfway through emptying my bladder. Why?! Lol

I'm 34 weeks and for the last week maybe I've been getting shooting pains in my vagina/cervix which last a few seconds. I think it's the baby head moving against the cervix. Kind of feels like sharp nails scratching the inside! Mine happens randomly but mainly when I'm sitting down, depends on baby's position I guess.

I had this. Feels like you're being stabbed with a knitting needle.

Ouch!

Pains in cervix are my labour pains. I realised from being induced last time but not actually going into labour that my uterine contractions are virtually painless- it's the pains in the cervix that are a bitch. So it could be your cervix softening to get ready for labour.

Oh great, thanks ladies and yes, feels like being stabbed/poked with something sharp down there!

I also find my flow stops mid wee, without me stopping it, then starts again after I feel a thump/thud sensation too.

im guessing cervix thinning can take weeks?

I'm 39 weeks and have had this for almost a month. It's been a lot worse the past few days so I'm hoping something might be going on :) my midwife said it's from where baby is starting to move down
