I am 7 weeks pregnant. On Wednesday I went to the toilet and was suddenly bleeding and a large clot came out. I couldnt bear to look at it as was in shock. After this there was no more bleeding. I had no pain or cramps. That was 2 days ago. I am having hcg blood tests and a scan early next week. I guess my question is does this sound like a miscarriage, if there hasn't been any pain or is it a clot relating to subchorionic hematoma. Any advice will be great

I can only give my experience of a subch hematoma.

I had a very large one (was told it was very likely to end in miscarriage as placenta wouldn't be able to form properly, this was wrong however and my baby is due anyday now). I had 3 bleeds over a period of about 2 weeks, before being told it had resolved. The bleeds were bright red with no clots. They didn't last very long but a fair amount of blood to be alarmed (more than just spotting iykwim). I also had a some cramping at times and some cramps were close to feeling like contractions.

All the best and I really hope you have a good outcome Flowers Flowers

I can relate all too well. I have sch. Started bleeding/spotting at around 5-6weeks. I'm now 16+3 and in the past 10 weeks I've had every type of bleeding known to man! I've had 4 or 5 'waterfall' bleeds that totally caught me off guard. All accompanied by clots (one the size of my fist!) obviously I assumed the worst after that, but no, baby fine :)
Scans have shown up the sch. The last one measured about 5x2cm. Haven't had any heavy gushes for 2 weeks niw(touch wood) but have had period-like bleeding every day now. Yes, it's p*ssing me off but as long as my little person is still cooking away, I can cope.
The fact that you haven't had any pain is a good sign, so fingers crossed hey! Inbox me any time if you want advice/chat/rant etc :) x

Thank you so much for the messages. I had scan today and got great news that the baby is fine and there is a heartbeat. They couldn't see anything abnormal and said bleeding can sometimes happen. We are so relieved. Once again thank you for your kind words.
