Vision problems

Hi,
I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been having lots of trouble with my vision for the passed two weeks.
The main problem is blurred, slow to focus (a bit like slow motion), light spots and floating light lines and this all leads to headaches.
I do suffer with migraines with aura, but no other health issues.
Is this common?
Thank you.

It doesn't sound common to me, you should give your mw a call, a visit to the dr may be needed, sounds hard to deal with

Thanks for your reply and advice. I haven't met my mw yet and apparently they aren't available at my dr practice today so I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back. I've only just discovered the pregnancy and it's my first so everything is all very new to me!

I was a bit like this a few weeks ago, apparently my blood pressure is a bit low which causes it so don't be too worried but best to get it checked.

Also, think the surge in hormones can give you headaches too, particularly if you're prone to migraines anyway

I have been getting visual disturbances from 28 weeks (now 37+6) so my midwife is seeing me weekly to keep tabs on it. We believe its related to my high blood pressure. Thankfully pre eclampsia has been ruled out thus far. It may or may not be pregnancy related so I think you have done the right thing by contacting your GP :-)

Hope you feel better soon
