Membrane Sweep 2cm dilated - When will labour start?

Got a sweep today my cervix was favourable and consultant said I was 2cm dilated. This was done at 10am this morning. I have not had any signs of labour yet or anything. How long does it normally take, if it's successful?

48 hrs if it's going to work, I hope it does for you when I had mine done last time I was 2-3cms and very favourable. The consultant said "oh you will be back tonight I promise you" Hmm bloody wasn't it didn't do I thing!!
Good luck hope yours is more successful :)

Got sweep today too and no dilation.
Good luck with your labour, sounds like it could be imminent.

My contractions weren't regular but I was 4cm dialated 4 hours after my sweep. Luckily I went back in to he hosp even without regular contractions because my waters broke about an hour after I got there. Out of 3 people I've known to have a sweep recently every one of them went into labour within 48 hours so il keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Don't let lack of dilation dishearten you because mine was quite quick after I got to 2cm after the sweep :)

No luck, sweep did not work. Just had quite a lot of mucus plug coming away but no labour!
