39+3 and got the fucking hump

Hi ladies.

As the title would suggest I am FED UP.

For the past 4 weeks I've had bleeding on and off (and therefore hospital visits, checks etc) and loads of things to suggest baby coming like mucus plug going, loads of contractions in varying patterns and levels of consistency.

However I still have no baby.

I am bored.

I am hot.

I have tried walking miles, castor oil (which didn't even give me an upset stomach, it just did nothing!), sex, masturbation, trying to ignore the whole thing, breast pumping (for literally hours at a time), curry.... Nothing's worked.

I am so irritateable and impatient now.

I know really that nothing will work til the baby wants to come but please any advice would be amazing. I am a woman on the edge.

It could be more than a fortnight yet.... You're not even at your due date. Sorry. Nothing works, I tried first time round, although hated people telling me nothing works.

Try putting your feet up.

I was the same! Sadly there was no shifting him and I'm now 41+3 and getting induced on Saturday.
My only advice is to stop thinking about it and let it happen when it happens. Although if anyone had said that to me at 39+3 I'd have quite rightly punched them!

Send your other half out to get right royally pissed. That ought to get things going pretty quickly

I'm with you. 39+1 here and as first DC was 8 days late I am thinking I have another 2 weeks of this hell. I am irrational, emotional, uncomfortable, sleep deprived and just want this pregnancy over and done with.

I can relate. My little boy is 3 weeks old. I went 10 days over due despite loads of signs he was going to come. I tried anything and nothing worked, I hated people saying it at the time but I think it is true that baby will come when he/she wants to :(

Raspberry leaf tea, HOT bath and sex, in that order... Go! Worked for me. Good luck!

Update: gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Friday at exactly 40 weeks from my LMP. 7 hour labour, 45 mins of pushing and no stitches after the pregnancy from hell.

Thanks all for your congratulations. We have called her Sadie. It really was a great labour if you can have such a thing.....although I don't fancy going through it again in the next couple of years!
