Slowing growth--36 weeks and referred for scan

Hi ladies

I am 36 weeks plus 4 days with my first baby and I am planning a home birth. The community midwife just came to my house for check up and said when she charted babies measurement his growth had slowed. His movements are still strong and his heart beat is fine. She said she is particularly worried as my baby's growth chart has been done my another midwife and this is the only measurement she has done so may just be a case that they measure slightly differently.

As a precaution she has booked me in for a scan on Friday: she did advise that she sees this often and usually all is fine and I'm not to lose any sleep.

I am one of life's worriers though and have got myself upset and crying as so worried something is wrong, even though I can feel him kicking away.

Is this quite common? any advice or experiences would do me the world of good!

Thanks so much xxx
