Im currently 34+2 and have been sufferin with a headache since last Weds. I got checked out (as some of you may have read) and it's not pre-eclampsia.

I'm assuming it just hormones but what can I do? I am drinking plenty of fluids but trying to avoid taking paracetamol as I would be taking them constantly and although safe for the baby, in that quantity, I'd rather not!

No advice but I'm watching intently as I've also had a headache since the weekend, have been drinking plenty as well and don't want to take the paracetamol. I'm not as far along as you either as I am only 17+3

Where is the headache? Any chance it could be sinus related?

SouthDerbyshireMamma · 01/07/2014 16:23

I'm 37+3 and have had awful headaches since 28 weeks. The midwife has been seeing me weekly to keep an eye on my blood pressure as its been higher than it should be however pre eclampsia has been ruled out. The only thing that temporarily dampens the pain is an afternoon nap but the pain soon comes back. If you find a magic cure please please PLEASE let me know :-)

Me too. 30weeks and blinding headache since last week, it's no pre eclampsia as I got checked out for that and been drinking lots. I cant concentrate on work at all Sad .

ginger ale should take the edge off.

I was suffering from terrible headaches last week, and got them throughout my first pregnancy. That 4head you can buy is good for some relief and safe in pregnancy. The only other thing that worked for me was a cold face cloth on my head/eyes on my bed in the dark.
Its horrible, I don't think the heat helps.

Thank goodness I'm not alone!! Headache seems to ease at night for me. Bet I'll wake with it tomorrow. I suspect hormones!
