Im 13 weeks now and the fatigue is really getting me down. I just want it to go now. I don't want to have naps in the daytime, ive got too much to do, the house is going to wrack and ruin and I don't want to go to bed at 8pm when DH doesn't get in until 7pm. Im hardly seeing him at the moment. When did you start to feel better? I cant remember with DD. I know the MS went around 14 weeks but don't remember when the tiredness lifted. I remember it being pretty bad for quite a few weeks though.

Your going to hate me, mine went about 24weeks and then returned at 30 :(

I have been constantly exhausted this entire pregnancy, even ththough my iron levels are fine.

Have you had them checked yet?

Heres hoping it leaves soon for you Thanks

RoseberryTopping · 01/07/2014 14:45

It's different for everyone unfortunately. I felt fabulous for the first 30 weeks, then the 3rd trimester hit me like a ton of bricks with tiredness and sickness, chest infections and a massive hormone surge in anger!

You might start to feel better going in to your 2nd tri now though.

I felt better at 15 weeks then better again at 17. I am 24 weeks now. Still have bad days but generally coping a lot better. Hope you feel better soon.

Im on iron tablets for low ferritin. Its ok now though after 3 mths of taking the tablets and my HB is over 12 so don't think its iron deficiency related, just normal pregnancy tiredness. Want to feel normal again though!

Fine after 13 weeks but its back now at 25 weeks, sorry!

Missingcaffeine · 01/07/2014 19:54

24 weeks before I felt 'good', but each week got easier from 8 onwards, just very slowly. Worst of tiredness went by 16 weeks - it just became more intermittent with occasional bad days. Hope you feel better soon. My blood was within normal range and I was told they were good but actually I was borderline anaemic and had a massive drop in Hb from my normal. Take your vitamins and maybe extra iron.

Really sorry to say this but mine didn't get any better, although I didn't realise. I'd say by about half way through I'd got used to feeling like poo and that becametthe new norm so didn't feel as bad, if that makes sense. Once I had dds I felt sooooooo much better it was amazing, just when I needed it too.

If you need a nap have one or an early night, don't makeyyourself worse by being worried about your house or seeing dh everyday, one day off won't make any difference in the grand scheme of things

runningonwillpower · 01/07/2014 21:26

14 weeks. To the day. The exhaustion and nausea just went away. T'was the mark of the 2nd and best trimester.

The third trimester brings its own discomforts.

But hey ho, you're having a baby! How great is that?

Congratulations!

Roxie85 · 01/07/2014 21:47

18 weeks for me. I felt fab from then until maybe 33-34 weeks or so. Baby showed up at 37 though so didnt get too bad at the end for me.

Heatherbell1978 · 02/07/2014 11:38

The nausea and tiredness passed at around 13/14 weeks for me although I even at my most tired I was working long days and just going to bed a bit earlier. I'm 33 wks now and the tiredness has just returned in last week or so but still don't really have the opportunity to nap during the day until I finish work (1 week and counting!)

cactus123 · 02/07/2014 11:49

I've felt properly better since about 15 weeks :) The first 15 weeks were bloody awful! Hope you start to feel better soon

kitkat321 · 03/07/2014 13:57

I'm almost 18 weeks and still struggling some days with the nausea and tiredness - i've given up hope of it going away and I'm now accepting that it may be for the long haul!!

lilyblue5 · 03/07/2014 17:28

Hey, I felt exhausted until my first scan at between 12-13 weeks then it started to get better. Currently 34 weeks and just starting to feel tired again though I finish work in 2 weeks so thankfully I will be able to relax and put my feet up a bit :)
I hope your tiredness doesn't go on for too much longer - the house can be cleaned when you feel better, be easy on yourself and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

weebairn · 03/07/2014 20:30

14 weeks for me, started getting really tired again around 23 weeks though.

Last pregnancy I got a huge burst of energy when I finished work and started long walks and swimming every day. Work is the real killer when pregnant I think. Especially if you're on your feet.

mssleepyhead · 04/07/2014 06:36

About 16 weeks - it felt like forever at the time but once I passed 16 weeks things improved a lot.

Good luck!

Polkadotscarf · 04/07/2014 07:26

Morning sickness went at 20 weeks and still shattered at 22 weeks...sorry! Everyone is different though! :-)

LBNM19 · 04/07/2014 08:35

My sickness was really awful till 16 weeks and I've only just started feeling tired the last couple of weeks, 24 weeks now.

My last pregnancy I was sick until 10 weeks. Exhausted the whole way through was in bed by 7pm every night lol.

Hope you feel a bit better soon xx

ElleDubloo · 04/07/2014 17:22

Morning sickness lasted from week 8 to week 14 approximately. Tiredness is a bit harder to define... if I'm busy at work I can power through, but if I'm at home with nothing much to do then I'll nap like crazy :) - at 24 weeks now.

ohthegoats · 04/07/2014 17:51

I expect to feel better in about 18 months time.

Caz1226 · 19/02/2021 12:11

I’ve had a rough old time I’ve been in hospital 3 times and I’ve tried almost every sickness tablet you can get plus blood thinner stomach injections which were not fun- but I’d say it got to about 13 weeks and it eased slightly
I’m 15 weeks now and some days I’m still sick, I’m still very nauseous and I can’t eat much at all everything still makes me gag and I’ve lost a good old amount of weight
I’m also getting stomach ache especially on a night time which I’ve researched could be due to stretching/ growing does anyone else have this?
Im really hoping in the next couple of weeks I feel better because pregnancy so far has not been nice to me- but I’m pregnant which is a huge blessing
It will be worth it just keep counting down the weeks xx
