Does anyone else have one?

Since getting pregnant I've got a fuzzy bump Grin I'm inclined to leave it be and see if it goes away on it's own. I'm 34 weeks now but it is incredibly fuzzy now!!

DP thinks it's "cute" and says leave it alone.

But I was wondering if any of you ladies experienced fuzzy bump, and what did you or didn't do about it?

Yep my bump is fuzzy too. Very soft though. I daren't touch it in case I make it spikey. I am hoping it goes along with the myriad of other things I have experienced whilst pregnant. I'm 35 weeks.

Xcountry · 30/06/2014 15:17

I had that with all mine. Layla would be disgusted because I used to rub mine till it went all static and standing on end. I really miss this. If I could hashtag bump envy I would right now!!

Boudica1990 · 30/06/2014 15:19

Haha! Glad I'm not the only one DP got the baby hairbrush before he went away and brushed my bump Blush I felt like a horse being brushed. It was a good giggle though haha Grin

Yes mine is fuzzy. I am leaving it, they say pregnancy makes some women grow extra hair and I don't see all the mums with hairy bellies on the beach so assume it will just fall out!

Also I get how aesthetically people prefer smooth legs and armpits but bumps...? A step too far!

CoolCat2014 · 30/06/2014 15:25

Yup, fine downy hair all around my belly button. It's freaky!

Boudica1990 · 30/06/2014 15:26

Think it's popped in to my mind, because a friend of mine wants to photograph my bump, I did tell her it was fuzzy (dark hair too, not blonde downy hair) and she was like I bet it's not. When I show her tomorrow I think she may recoil in horror at my cousin it bump hahaha Grin

ah, mine was blonde but I am ginger so that might explain it. A Girl I knew grew hairy feet, like on her toes and the bridge of her foot during pregnancy. never heard of that till I seen hers.

Layla001 · 30/06/2014 15:32

Sometimes I feel mine blowing in the breeze if I sit in the garden :-)

squizita · 30/06/2014 15:34

ALL my extra body hair is white as a sheet! Shock Hope my head doesn't follow suit!

Boudica1990 · 30/06/2014 15:43

I have pcos, so I think that's why it may be dark. I get hair on the bridge of my foot pregnant or not Shock

I think I'm a hairy lady haha! Some I leave some I don't, depends what I'm happy with, DP dosnt care.

Think l will juts leave fuzzy bump, better than a stubbly bump!!

No fuzzy bump but my DD was fuzzy which I loved!! When she was born I said, surprised, 'oh, she's hairy!', and the midwives assumed it bothered me, and reassured me it would fall out. But I loved it and was sad when it did! it was so soft and made her such a delectable fuzzy little creature Grin

Boudica1990 · 30/06/2014 15:49

Aww that does sound cute rooty :)

I can't wait to see what mine looks like, I hope he takes after many of his dad's features, including his lovely afro Caribbean curls. I love them.

I have a fuzzy bump too! It started to get fuzzy at about 11 to 12 weeks and is still fuzzy at 38 weeks. I'm hoping it goes when my bump goes :)

rootypig · 30/06/2014 16:35

My DD is the image of her dad so you may be in luck!

GingerRodgers · 30/06/2014 16:39

Yep, 30 weeks here and fuzzy as a peach! All fell out shortly after dd so not worrying this time.

Boudica1990 · 30/06/2014 16:42

Ahh so hopefully I'll shed like the dog afterwards then haha :)

Covered in fuzz. I'm sure it would be delightful if I had fair hair, but I have thick dark hair and it is pretty ugly. Poor bump.

Boudica1990 · 30/06/2014 17:48

plate mine is dark too, aww don't think your bump is ugly :( it's your little ones home, he/she just upgraded and got some loft insulation in that's all!

(hug)

I'm 24 weeks and my bump is strangely hairy, I'm fair though luckily. I can't decide if it's my normal tummy hairs kind of spreading out or extra hairs growing? I'm finding pregnancy very weird indeed!

Plateofcrumbs · 30/06/2014 18:11

Loft insulation, ha! Grin

cherrylola · 30/06/2014 18:13

Yes I did! Totally forgot about that part of pregnancy! It just went away but I have no idea when, too busy cooing at the baby to notice Smile

CloverHeart · 30/06/2014 18:37

Very fuzzy - that and the bottom of my back Hmm

I am considering giving it a shave to be honest.... I hope it all falls out once I've had the baby!!!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/06/2014 20:47

I had lots of long dark hairs growing up to my tummy button, but I plucked them and they haven't grown back. What I've got now is a fine pelt of very fair hair! Weird stuff. I had the dark hairs before in my earlier pregnancies but not the fair pelt. Confused The MW said they were normal and would go away on their own (I didn't ask, she clocked them at an appt and volunteered the info. I was mortified!), but they didn't exactly - I did have to pluck them, but once I had they didn't grow back. Stung like a bitch to pluck them, though. I don't really mind the fair hair and I'm certainly not plucking or waxing that - there's too much of it and I'd be afraid it would grow back stubbly. Clover, don't shave yours!

Boogles91 · 30/06/2014 21:04

Yep lol got darker hairs around belly button but the rest is all fair and blonde lol so i just shave the dark ones offlol ot get my mums nono onit xx

Eminybob · 30/06/2014 21:14

Yes I've got blond fuzz all over, and a dark stripe down the middle.

On a different note, when's my belly button going to pop out? It's been on the brink for weeks now. I've been looking forward to it Grin
