Help! Nub theorists wanted!

Sorry not much help I've been googling constantly to try and work this nub theory out, but I just can't seem to get my head around it!
I'm far to impatient and have decided I am going to pay for a private gender scan, they can do it at 14-16 weeks!

I can't see a clear nub. It's a sticky out bit normally a white line.
You can see babies nub on my scan pic. (Boy)
