Possibly sciatica - a trapped nerve in your back - happens a lot in pregnancy - you should get it checked out.

sounds like sciatica to me - very common in pg - i still get it - feels like it is really deep in the bum cheek - on one side...its the nerves that get squashed or something...it normally sorts its self out but can be very painful and occ debilitating...I would see dr or pharmacist to see if you can get anything to take for it??? or if its so painful would suggest getting to dr's asap

SPD?

dreamydowler · 08/09/2006 16:38

It sounds very like it could be the start of symphis pubic disorder you need to ask you gp or midwife to refer you to the physio as soon as for a belt to be fitted before it gets any worse Ive been on crutches the last couple of months with the pain

I though spd was mostly in your pelvis area..I would suggest sciatica. I had both with dd and now at 19 weeks I have started with spd again . Hope you manange to control it at least.

The pain in your hips could be SPD, or simply ligaments stretching - it's hard to say, which is way you should see a doctor.
