It still doesn't feel real....

So I am 9 weeks pregnant today with our first pregnancy and very excited about it! I went for an early scan at 6 weeks as I had cramping etc and all was fine, saw baby's heartbeat and it was off like the clappers! Although I've had some waves of nausea I still don't 'feel' pregnant as obviously can't feel baby/not showing yet. Not many people know yet and guess it'll become more real after our 12 weeks scan when it's more of a baby shape and we can tell folk. Anyone else feeling like me or am I being impatient lol :-)

I'm exactly the same, I'm 8+5 so very close to you! Had some cramping in weeks 6 and 7, and that all disappeared last week. Little waves of nausea, and today I've been hit with extreme tiredness. It's the first day I've truly struggled. But other than that, I can go hours and not even think about it and then suddenly a little voice reminds me!

Like you, am hoping the 12 week scan brings it all home for me!

We went for a scan at 30 weeks to try and make it feel real. Seeing his face was the only thing that did it!

Aww spence congratulations to you! It's so weird isn't it?! I'm desperate to tell people too haha! I'm shattered today but guessing thats because I've just got back for spending the day with my 3 year old niece and 7 week old nephew at the beach! I have been more tired that I normally would but that is beginning to subside I think. I'm now on countdown until 21/7 when I have my scan, eeekkk! Good luck xx

I'm 33+5. I'm enormous, my little Alien pummels me all day long, I can clearly see him/her moving about and stretching, I'm leaving work in 2 weeks, people keep asking me what I want them to buy for baby, the nursery is painted, I own a Moses basket, pram, car seat and various other bits and pieces. Yet it still doesn't feel real! And I doubt it will until I'm holding the little'un. So don't worry about it :-)

I'm 26+ weeks, and it doesn't feel real for me neither. We only have a car seat and a buggy, the house is upside down with building work, work is drowning me slowly, I'm getting kicked about by 'small' pretty much 24/7, and it still doesn't feel real.

Congratulations! My 5 weeks old is chuntering in her basket beside me. Still doesn't seem real! Enjoy every second of your pregnancy that you can though because all too soon it's over. And however wonderful it is having a baby, there's something pretty special about being pregnant too (have clearly conveniently forgotten all the hyperemesis, discomfort, sleepless night, spots...). It's a special time.

Wasn't real for me until 20w scan to be honest. Even the 12w scan was a bit overwhelming and hard to believe there was a baby in my still flat stomach at that point! My bump starting growing properly after 20w scan and that's when we started buying stuff too. I fel the first 4 months dragged so much......and now....well I can't believe I start mat leave in 2 weeks!! Yikes....

Im 12+4 today with DC2 and my first scan is next thursday. Exactly the same as the last time, i won't get the feeling I have made it all up out of my head until I see it with my own eyes (despite the mini bump I am already sporting!)
One thing I do remember from last time though is it dragged up until people knew, as it is this time, then whoosh before I know it my DD is 6 and telling me everything I am doing wrong in my life!
