*Reassurance needed please ladies*

Hi,
I am 12 weeks pregnant, on Tuesday night I noticed blood when I wiped. I called the midwife for some advice and she told me to go to a&e.
When we got to a&e the nurse took my blood and asked for a urine sample - we then sat and waited for 3 hours ish. Anyway, eventually a doctor come to see us, felt my tummy said bloods were ok and booked us in for a scan on Friday (tomorrow). Urine sample stayed in our cubicle where I put it and never got tested..

All I have done since is worry and cry!..
Is bleeding (red on Tuesday, now browny) normal and will everything be ok?
I'm really worried about having the scan tomorrow incase it turns out for the worst. We have been trying quite a while to fall and now we have bleeding

I have 4 DDs and bled when I was pregnant with 3 of them. The first one they weren't sure what caused it, the 2nd one they thought was possibly a lost twin as there was so much blood and the 3rd was a blood clot that was slowly coming out.

Try not to worry, I think bleeding is very common.

Everyone keeps telling me not to worry but it's easier said than done!

If the blood test is OK that's good, the urine wouldn't show anything the blood didn't.
It's good they're scanning and doing blood tests.
Keeping fingers crossed that the scan shows all is well.

The fact that the bleeding hasn't gotten worse and is now brown is a very good sign. Best of luck for tomorrow

Brown blood is old blood. I suspect they were checking your HCG levels in your blood, ensuring they were at the right level for your gestation

I don't think there is any major cause for concern based on what you have said. A lot of women get bleeding in early pregnancy.

I had episodes of bleeding with two of my pregnancies - babies now aged 6 and 5! Brown blood is good - old blood as someone said.

Both times I felt I'd been doing a bit too much, and took it as a sign to slow down a bit - try and take care of yourself. Good luck.

I agree with everyone else who says that the blood turning brown is a good sign.
I unfortunately did have a miscarriage at 12 weeks in February. I started out with light red bleeding/spotting one day. For me it never slowed down or turned brown but instead got much heavier over the next 48hours until the MC happened. My blood HCG levels had also started to drop already so it is also encouraging that yours are still good.

I bled on and off until 20 weeks gestation - neither the doc nor the people doing the scan knew why!? I have a healthy 22 months old now. Keep positive stress isn't good for baby xx

I'm really starting to worry about the scan now..

With my dd I had 'periods' up until the 3rd trimester - bleeds at the time of my usual cycle, light but always started out red before quickly becoming brown. The healthy product of the pregnancy is now snoring away in the next room . It's so scary but not necessarily anything untoward... Take care of yourself and most of all, step AWAY from google! Do whatever you need to distract yourself - work, having friends over, finally get around to going through your wardrobe to make more space for all the maternity clothes you'll be buying soon

I had some bleeding at 8, 12 and 16 weeks and now have a 6 month old finally having a nap upstairs.
Every midwife i spoke to told me that bleeding during pregnancy is not 'normal' but it is really really really common and is quite often burst vessels, partial periods, clots etc. Bodies are very strange things and most do not do as the textbooks seem to think they should. You will find a mass of women who have had on and off bleeding during pregnancy and a large majority get to full term just fine.

Well.. It wasn't good news for us. Had scan which showed a sac but nothing in it..
Now I need to know what I do now? All that was said was I need to decide how I want to go about gettin rid of the sac.. 3 options, let it go naturally, be given a pill or to have it surgically removed.
Obv, I'm not thinkin straight ATM but was wondering what the best and quickest option is?

So sorry to hear this. When I had a similar thing I booked a surgical but mc naturally on the wait. I would say trying to find the quickest way to sort as even the day or so I edited were he'll knowing things were wrong inside me :-(
Take some time to mend - n gentle on yourself. I took a week off work and was still a mess when I went back

I went for the surgical option personally. It was quick and not stressful or traumatic.
