Should I call NHS 24?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with DC2, and have just had a couple of really strong cramps, like really bad period pain. I also had a small gush of watery discharge about 15 minutes ago (could have been pee, sorry TMI), am really scared, but at the same time don't want to cause a big panic for no reason. Should I phone them?

Phone them, that's what they're for!

Notfastjustfurious · 25/06/2014 20:25

There's no harm in phoning and simply asking the question, I say go for it. Better that than worrying.

MrsSpencerReid · 25/06/2014 20:25

If you are worried ring. It's not worth stressing over and in my experience they would rather see you an reassure everything is ok than you sit at home, have you got an out of hours number for mw? Ours was the antenatal ward, might be better than nhs24, nope it was a wee Grin

lucidlady · 25/06/2014 20:26

Yes ring them. I hope you're ok x

Gileswithachainsaw · 25/06/2014 20:32

Yes phone them! Much better to get "nothing" checked out than have something missed because you were worried about wasting someone's time.

Please call them.

Phone your antenatal ward - might be nothing, but they will assess whether you need some monitoring. Hope it goes well!

buggerboooo · 25/06/2014 20:35

Call them. I hope its ok

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 25/06/2014 20:37

It's worth being checked over. They won't mind.

LittleBallOfFur · 25/06/2014 20:38

Do you have an out of hours number for your midwife/labour ward?

DanielSan · 26/06/2014 08:15

All fine - it was indeed pee Blush and braxton hicks. Very embarrassed, but reassured. Thanks for the help! Grin

Pee is good! Well, better than waters breaking prematurely Grin
Glad it's all ok.

Gileswithachainsaw · 26/06/2014 09:07

Thrilled to hear everything's well!! :)

buggerboooo · 26/06/2014 10:19

Phew!! Bless you. I was quite worried it would be bad news. Glad you just peed yourself .

MrsSpencerReid · 26/06/2014 21:20
