Hello

at nearly 16 weeks, I'm still being sick and feeling sick, very tired and listless. all my usual treats involve food (which I really can't face) or lovely wine (off the list obviously) or reading (can't concentrate).

Does anyone have any tips on how to really relax and treat yourself, that isn't expensive (went to the Sanctuary a few weeks ago, great, but soon wore off) and preferably can be done at home?

thanks, love to all ladies and beanies

Good books, bubble baths, weepy films and doing absolutely nothing. Keep your chin up

You poor soul. I was very sick and tired until about 14 weeks with all 3 pregnancies but was then OK until the last few weeks.

I quite liked looking after my feet during early/mid pregnancy - buffed off hard skin, soaked in oily stuff, painted nails etc. DH pretty good at foot massage too which helped with horrible tingly leg feelings. Feet take a real pounding during pregnancy and trying to paint your toenails when there's a large immovable lump in the way is virtually impossible so do it while you can!

If you can't concentrate on a book, get lots of catalogues or parenting magazines in. Jojo, Blooming Marvellous & The White Company were my favourites. I also read childrens books - I read the first 4 Harry Potter books whilst breastfeeding my DD1 - oops, was I supposed to be gazing at her adoringly and power-bonding?

I am not a blooming pregnant lady on my second pregnancy and really sympathesise with you! Try these simple things, I think they have helped me! Ginger chewing gum and pregnancy sea bands, I got these form www.mamatoto.co.uk at the moment there is free postage and packaging if you quote reference NB2AH680, there is also a hypnosis cd which I think I am going to try aswell! Good luck - I keep going by thinking that it is all in a good cause!
