Shock

Have been trying to get pregnant so this is good news. But don't want to get hopes up.

Am around 2 weeks post period and started light bleeding last week which prompted me to take a test, really to rule out pregnancy before going to the doctor.

Anyway Superdrug's own have now produce 3 positive tests - argh I want to get excited but I daren't.

Not sure why I'm posting - I just need to talk about it really!

have ypu contacted you local epu to tell them about the bleeding xx

cluecu · 30/06/2014 09:21

Well I'm in the doctor's tomorrow morning anyway. Is that what my EPU would be classed as or is it the hospital? Sorry I know I sound really clueless - never done this before!!

Early pregnancy.unit epu. Is usually at the hospital. They can scan you to confirm that everything is ok after the bleed

cluecu · 30/06/2014 09:30

Ah right - I will ring them today then. I wasn't sure if I was way too early for that kind of thing?

As I'm at work, would the nearest EPU to my work see me or does it have to be based on where I live?

I have been lucky enough to have never really needed to deal with hospitals etc so really have no ideal!!

To be honest I am much like yourself and dont have a clue!! You could phone the one closest to your work and see if they will book an appointment for you?

cluecu · 30/06/2014 09:46

Just rang St. Mary's in Manchester and they said you can turn up 24hours a day and they will see you. So if the bleeding continues I'll go after work. It's a relief to know it's 24 hours as it's easy to get to from where I work.

Huge learning curve all this Shock

Update...went to the doctor this morning. He has taken a blood sample and booked me in for another one on Friday morning so we can compare hormone levels.

I imagine it will be Monday before I know anything for definite. The bleeding is still ongoing though Sad
