Has anyone placed a laptop or notebook on their abdomen during pregnancy. And it was overheated? How old is ur child now? I am so scared I have harmed my baby, don't know if it depends on the trimester. I asked my cousin but she said laptops never existed when she was pregnant. But they did 11 years ago, I am 23 now and her son is like 7. Someone help me please

I'm 35 weeks now and have been working with a laptop on my lap for hours a day for the entire pregnancy. Baby is absolutely fine- I have gestational diabetes but pretty sure I can't blame the laptop maybe lots of cake. I know I'm not exactly a scientific study but sure there shouldn't be any issues- the problem with heat is doing something that raises your core body temperature, like having a ridiculously hot bath, rather than putting something warm like a laptop or a hot water bottle on the bump. If you're just finding the heat uncomfortable or are still worried, maybe put a towel in between you and the laptop?

I've been writing an essay for the last few weeks and have wondered this myself. Ended up only using it sat at the table. I had also wondered whether there was any risk in having your mobile phone in a pocket right over your bump.

Either way, I think both devices have been around long enough for the long term effects to have shown themselves.
