Impatient!

I had my 20 week scan 2 days ago and found out I'm having a boy :D

Now I just want to meet him.

I was suitably patient about the birth until now, and just wanted to know he was healthy and what I was having. Now I know alls fine I want him to hurry up and get all cooked and come out! I don't want him to be premature I just want to fast forward time! And I'm only half way!

Does this feeling settle down after a week or 2?

Nope, it only gets worse, well it has in my case!!! Known for 2 weeks we are having a girl and all I want to do is be holding her in my arms.

I think I'm quite lucky that I will be having an extra couple of growth scans, so I can see my little munchkin again....only another 40 days to go until the next one!!!

Before we know it we will be holding our LOs and half wishing they were still in there after the 50th dirty nappy/no sleep/crying for a reason you can't work out!!!

The time slows down. For me it has. Coupled with usual anxiety of "what if's" towards the end, it is über difficult. Days seem like months

Everyone's different, for you the time might fly by! Until recently, due to abnormal Doppler readings at 20 week scan, we had scans every 2-3 weeks. Those were my little outings that I used to look forward to, and use as countdown markers. Getting to 28 weeks was the milestone.
Thereafter it has merged all into one, long, never ending hybrid - days are long, a week seems like a month, I swear.

You might be absolutely fine. I've got a little app that does the countdown for me, that breaks those freakily long days up, and sets apart.

BTW, check in after a while to let us know how it's going for you. Will be interesting to know!
