Is it possible to get mastitis when 20 weeks pregnant?

I'm 20 weeks on with my first, and over the last two days my breasts have been very unhappy! They've grown a LOT, currently measuring at 36J, and they're red and hot on the bottom half (nipple and under) and a little itchy at the nipple. It sort of looks like all the blood has gone with gravity and pooled at the bottom Confused
My bra is supportive though quite tight, but I'm finding them bad over night too when I'm not wearing a bra.
Then today I'm feeling fluey and tired on top, so having Googled (always dangerous!), mastitis seems like it could be a possibility...
Anyone else any experience of this?

Yes, a good friend had it during pregnancy. Get to an ooh doctors.

You can get it anytime, regardless of pregnancy or breastfeeding. I think a check is a good plan.

Spoken to NHS 111 and they've booked me into the OOH doctors! Wish me luck Smile

Back from the OOH GPs! He didn't even look at the offending items, just prescribed me a week of 'preventative antibiotics'! Hmm Which is good I suppose, but I kinda would have liked a medical opinion! Never mind. I'll take them and if it's not better in a few days I'll go to the proper GPs!
