I'm 39 weeks 2 days and am feeling horrible. Went to midwife Tuesday and she's saying his head is only 4/5 engaged :/ .... Since this morning I have been having period like cramps all over my stomach and feeling nauseas and slight lower back pain... It's also whenever he moves aswell (like pushes against me) my heartburn seems to be getting worse and the stuff I take for it doesn't seem to be working anymore

Do anymore ladies feel the same as I do... This is my second baby but with first had pre eclampsia at 38 weeks and got induced so this now all feels new to me... Any advice on what it could be ... I have no idea what BH feels like cos never had them before either.

I'm 1 day behind you and just started losing my plug but I've had no back pain at all just a dull pain more on my right side. I've had a few sharp pains but only a couple a day :s I just hate not knowing what to expect and getting my hopes up with every twinge

I know it's horrible isnt it... The other day I started getting a little bit of gunky orangy discharge have no idea whether that was the show or what but not really getting it now (sorry tmi) I have no idea what's normal or what is a sign cos with my first I never experienced natural pains let alone the pains that's happening to me. Now.... got a feeling hhe's going to be late lol

I'll join you.

I'm "only" 35 weeks but have polyhydramnios so have a 20% chance of going into premature labour. It also means I'm measuring like 189 weeks and my bump is unbearably tight. I've been having BH all week.

Today it feel like things have changed. Baby feels lower and I've had pain all day really low down. Like niggly but strong period pains. I can barely walk.

DD was 9 days overdue so I'm probably just wishful thinking but I am so over being pregnant right now Sad .

I want to be sitting in my garden with a huge ice cold glass of Sauv Blanc Angry .

BH-Your bump tightens and becomes really hard but not painful.

mummy2beJune2014 · 20/06/2014 18:26

But during the very end of your pregnancy they get more intense dont they??

I know I had them a lot more frequently towards the end of pregnancy number 2. Never really noticed them first time round. Can't honestly say they were more intense. Real contractions are painful. But it does sound like you might be starting. I'd period like cramps at start of second labour, around 6.30pm but it was speedy. Baby was born at 10.39pm. Things can happen fast so I wouldn't dismiss it based it on what midwife said on Tuesday. Hope it goes well for you. You'll have your bundle soon.

Angelina77 · 20/06/2014 19:47

Yep, 30+5 here with first. No idea what to expect but I think I've had a few BH. No sign of plug and couldn't reach my cervix when I tried to in the bath the other day so I'm probably nowhere near. Currently 3/5 engaged and I've been offered a sweep early next week.

I'm praying for it to get going naturally this weekend, I've got SPD and terrible back pain so can hardly walk. Sick of all the 'enjoy your time off' comments because I defy anyone to enjoy feeling like this, not being able to leave the house and just waiting for something to happen with a bit of childbirth anxiety thrown in.

The gunky orange stuff sounds like your plug which is a good sign :) some people just lose small amounts over a longer time though
