I'm 22 weeks with dc2 and she was at the 20 week scan breech and I can feel her kicking on my bladder..

I know she still has a lot of time to turn but is there anything I can try now to get her to turn. It is now already uncomfortable when she kicks my bladder. And painful when I have a full bladder..

No not at this stage they still have so much space in there they can flip every minute if they want to.

My little one had been sititng on my bladder from about 20 weeks until this week (29 weeks) and has only just discovered a new favourite position - horizontal! Gives my bladder a welcome break but hope she settles somewhere else before I go into Labour! (she does move around alot but always seems to settle back to one favourite position).

I'm 29 weeks and feeling a lot of kicks down low in cervix and bladder and sideways. Midwife said baby feels to be head down though I don't believe her. But even if baby was breach it wouldn't be a concern until 35wks and even then they could still turn.

My doctor told me yesterday at my appt that she has only time till 30 weeks to turn if she hasn't turned by then, then the chance for her to turn is very very low they will do then another ultrasound ..

It is just such a new experience as my first was head down from the beginning. And he engaged so soon that when he was born he had a big bruise on his head.

That isn't true, at 28 weeks approx 25% of babies will be breech and by 33 weeks that reduced to 5%. By term to 3% so a lot if babies will turn after 30 weeks an ultrasound for presentation is pointless at that stage really. 34 weeks would be a lot more evidenced based and is what happens a where I am if babies are breech on palpating.

Mummymidwife87 · 20/06/2014 16:38

Presentation scans aren't done until 36/40-37/40. Lots of moving to do up until then

Actually some places will scan at 34 weeks to allow time for referrals and counseling about breech and also therapies such as moxibustion or positions they can help baby turn.

I just read my post Grin it should they that they will monitor it after 30 weeks and if she hasn't turned then they will make an appt for ultrasound.. Not sure when the appt will be
