Hi all, I've just had a chocolate fudge cake and I've cream from weitherspoons but a friend is saying I shouldn't of ate it, and that it's dangerous for some reason. Can anyone confirm this, or is it rubbish?

What's wrong with chocolate cake?!

Is your friend winding you up

TwigletFiend · 19/06/2014 15:49

Chocolate cake is cooked - in fact, undoubtedly nuked at a Wetherspoons. It's fine!

ilovepowerhoop · 19/06/2014 15:50

she's talking rubbish. The cake will be cooked and the ice cream will be made from pasteurised milk. What does she say is wrong with it?

gatofeliz · 19/06/2014 15:53

The cake is absolutely fine to eat hot or cold Confused

Most people want it hot so it gets a 30 sec blast in the microwave!

Your friend is winding you up.

gatofeliz · 19/06/2014 15:56

I should have also added, the soft scoop ice cream is the same as you would buy in a supermarket except nicer!

squizita · 19/06/2014 15:58

Absolutely fine.

The issue with machine ice cream is the cleanliness of the machine itself (it is egg free and pasteurised) so no-no to ice cream vans, OK in a restaurant chain where they clean it daily.

What?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 19/06/2014 20:26

I think your friend is being silly.

Timeforabiscuit · 19/06/2014 20:36

Dangerous ice cream is stuff that is homemade (risk of raw egg) or Mr whippy (risk of germy git).

DH once tried to tell me I shouldn't have a MacDonald's milkshake..... Once

Timeforabiscuit · 19/06/2014 20:38

Sorry, saying dangerous is a bit stupid - more slight escalation in risk.
