I am only 17 weeks :-(
I have been pregnant for aaaaaaaages. The first tri was rubbish but now I'm feeling better I just want baby here now!
In today's age of instant gratification isn't it a crying shame that we are forced to wait 9 loooong months to meet baby?
Maybe I should set up an e-petition - Reduce gestation period today!!
(Light hearted...!)

Thank god we have to wait 9 months frankly!

I was SO ANGRY (for various reasons) for the first 16 weeks, that any arrival during that time would have been a bad thing. Then there was the apathy period, maybe slight denial... it's only in the last few weeks that I've actually engaged with the fact that a baby could be here in 12 weeks. 12 weeks ago I was skipping off to Thailand pretending that it wasn't happening, and that seems like yesterday!

Will take me probably 8 months to fully engage with the whole thing...

I feel like this some days (17 weeks also) but then other days I think OH MY GOD ILL HAVE A BABY BEFORE CHRISTMAS and have a melt down into a tub of Ben and Jerry's :)

TeenageMutantNinjaTurtle · 19/06/2014 11:06

I'm 39 weeks and just realised I could be pregnant for another 3 weeks if I get all the way to an induction. That has made me really grumpy! At least we aren't elephants Confused

LBNM19 · 19/06/2014 11:20

Lol I'm 22 weeks and feeling the same. It does drag. Xx

SandwichBag · 19/06/2014 11:47

I felt like this and now 29 weeks I feel like 11 weeks is not long enough to prepare and im not ready lol!

LairyPoppins · 19/06/2014 11:49

I'm 33 weeks now and suddenly it is zooming by.

Today my MW wanted me to write a birth plan and I realised it's not long until the end. Eeek!

Hazchem · 19/06/2014 11:50

It passes quickly! I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and can't believe where the time has gone, and that I'll be having this baby any day now. Eeeek!

And my DD will be 4 soon too! bloomin hell

Boudica1990 · 19/06/2014 12:29

I was like this till at 24 weeks when he decided to try and come and I was terrified he would die :( now I'm 33weeks this weekend and I'm actually hoping he stays in longer Shock lol

Sometimes I can't believe that I will have a baby in August!! Time is flying by for me, and I'm scared I won't know what to do lol

squizita · 19/06/2014 12:53

I waited to be proper full on pregnant.

Now I'm 28 weeks with an enormo bump sticking right out and aching my back and I'm like... hang on, I've got at LEAST 9 weeks left of THIS?? Grin
I have health issues regarding pregnancy so every day I'm checking my phone for mumsnet in between meetings like now checking this and that and the other. Such a scary time.

MrsMonkeyBear · 19/06/2014 12:55

I've been saying this since day one now 22 weeks!!! I am so impatient that I just want her out now. Either that or a little window into my belly so I can see what the hell she's doing in there!!!

At the same time I want her to stay put because I keep thinking how painful labour is going to be. If they could also find a pain free, surgery free way of gettin her out, without me having to have my slightly overgrown lady garden on show, I'd be one happy lady!!

hotfuzzra · 19/06/2014 17:45

I am going with hypnobirthing. I really really want it to work...!
Plus the conviction that I'm going to sneeze and baby will pop out quite easily... if I keep believing it, it'll come true right? Grin

Im 36+2 and getting so fed up! The past week im so uncomfy and the reflux is driving me mad! And i cant wait to have him out! Will be able to manage my nephrostomy more better. Hopefully nxt wensday i can beg them to let him out early as ive already had steroid injections and hes big enough.....if they give me induction on my duedate i wont be happy -.-

RAFWife12 · 20/06/2014 14:18

I totally agree! I'm 34 weeks and have been ready for it to be over for weeks now! Got one more week of work left, and so ready to leave. Cant believe i still have 6 weeks till due date!
Very conflicted though as dont want baby to come early as then DH will miss the birth.

Barbsta · 20/06/2014 16:55

My due date is in 6 days and it seems the closer I get to the date the further away it seems :s

Heatherbell1978 · 22/06/2014 09:01

Well I fell pregnant back in October, had a m/c at 6 wks then fell pregnant again the following month so I really feel like I've been pregnant for a long time......now 32 weeks.........it seems to have sped up recently though.

For me everything dragged until the bump appeared properly (at about 22 wks or so) cos before then you feel shit for the first 3 months then you start feeling better but don't look noticeably pregnant, just a bit fat, but now I look properly pregnant I quite enjoy when people want to talk about it.
