No idea I'm afraid..the sonographer was showing us our LO's willy yesterday and we just stared at it blankly...she had to spell it out Blush
Fantastic scan pics though!!

I reckon girl for you then. With both my boys it was very obvious, no searching required!

Tasheldon · 18/06/2014 19:51

Aww! Congratulations! I was looking for dangly bits but baby just wanted to sleep and wouldn't move..

That's cute! You could get a private gender scan if you are keen to know, supposedly drinking something sweet and fizzy before you go helps get them moving!

We were told they thought ours was a girlbut bit hard to tell we had a 4d scan week ago and yep its a girl we were told to drink oj before scan and it was really good but dnt think she liked it kept screwing up her face

I had 4 scans. 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 26 weeks and 32 weeks. The last three said deffo girl. The first was too early. Three different sonographers said girls.

My DS was born shortly after Grin

Mummymidwife87 · 18/06/2014 20:46

My guess would be, if the sonographer couldn't tell you in real time, no one here will be able to look at a picture and tell you

MummyBeerest · 18/06/2014 20:49

Girl is my guess. My DD was modest too Wink

I couldn't find out either at scans at 17 or 21 weeks, my baby wouldn't get into the right position at all. I went on to have a girl, and now as a toddler the more you want her to do something the more she is determined not to do it, clearly started down that route even before birth Grin.

I did my very best to hold off finding out until the 20 wk scan and when baby had all health checks done so i knew they were fine we asked about gender but legs were tightly together and not in the right position, to find out i was gutted.

booked a private one soon as i got home for that same evening, ate a maccy's before, (they had previously become active after me eating and i'd been told cold fizzy drink helps too), baby moving about quite happy and they actually scan from under babies bottom, you won't see anything from side views as legs are up. anyway underneath view showed a willy between the legs and we now have a lovely scan piccy to show him when he's older.

£45 very well spent to enjoy 2nd half of pregnancy and not money wasted on neutral clothes, the heart rate since then is about 120-130 so this settles any anxiety about if it was the cord we saw

PenguinsHatchedAnEgg · 20/06/2014 13:17

I can understand the excitement of finding out, but why is money on neutral clothing wastedConfused
Surely it isn't, particularly if you plan more children.
