Type 1 Diabetes - High Sugars - 27 Weeks in

Hi, I can see there are some similar threads on here but sort of wanted to stick my oar in too.

I am a Type 1 Diabetic and my control over the years hasn’t exactly been great but it is the best it’s been in years since finding out I was pregnant. I am now 27 weeks and my morning results just won’t go down. They are generally between 9mmol – 11.9mmol and no matter how much I speak to the diabetes team or up my background insulin (Levimir) it stays around the same figures in the morning. For the rest of the day most of my results are as they should be (although occasionally going up to at most 9mmol but my diabetes team are happy with this). My diabetic team want to change my Levimir to Lantus which I’m not particularly y worried about but what I’d like to know is, is there anyone out there with an experience similar to mine, either going through it or having managed to go through the whole pregnancy? What was the baby’s health like when delivered? I’m so so worried this is affecting my son/daughter and as much as I ask the diabetic team at my hospital whether despite all my efforts and frustrating high results, there is a chance things will be ok, they won’t give me an answer. Obviously I’m not going to settle and will be aiming to get the morning result down as much as is possible but......well....if anyone can help, I’d appreciate it so much. ? Thank you.
