What were your early symptoms?

Hi,

First post on here! Had a mc last year after fertility treatment and have just got another bfp from ivf. Obviously I'm so excited but scared about going for my early scan and the pregnancy not being viable :(

Last time I was really sick etc....but this time I haven't really got any symptoms yet, I'm abit tired and my boobs are abit sore but that's it really. I'm so worried it means something's wrong!!! :(

Same here!! I have my early scan tomorrow and im 6-6. Its not like I WANT to be sick, but a more obvious sign would be nice!

I know!!! I'd love to wake up tommorow to be sick!!! Although I'm trying to tell myself that it doesn't mean anything, I couldn't really eat last time so it goes to show it doesn't really matter.

I've got a scan in 2 weeks but it's nice to hear I'm not the only one without many symptoms! X

I couldn't stomach coffee but I didn't twig, just thought that the coffee I'd been served was particularly rank.

My first symptom even before my BFP (following IVF too) was all the veins in my boobs went really noticeably dark. That was at about 4 weeks. Extreme hunger was probably the next symptom for me, followed by tiredness once I got my BFP!

I had no symptoms with DD, except a huge appetite and boobs. I was very lucky to have a very easy pregnancy. This time, I am 11+1 and again no symptoms. I know what you mean about wanting a little sign. I haven't had my first scan yet, only then will I be sure I am not making it all up!

My first symptom was at about two weeks! Had severe lower abdomen cramping, went to bed for two days with paracetamok and lots of tea. The same happwned to my DM twice, so my DF suggested poas: ta da!

DS popped out 9 months later

Other early symptoms were tender tits, voracious apetite and over-the-moonitis.

Thanks for the replies, maybe its all normal then. I'm only 5 weeks and 2 days so plenty of time yet. I will feel a million times better after the scan, after all this time it hardly seems real!!!

They say each pregnancy is different so try not to compare with your last one and worry yourself. My sister had no sickness with her first two but really bad sickness with her second

I had my first son through IVF and had no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever until at least 6/7 weeks when my boobs got a bit sore.

DS2 was a happy accident/miracle baby and i had the full complement of symptoms with him (implantation bleed, sickness from day one, etc).

I think the hormones they give you to help sustain the pregnancy (I forget what they're called) do mess up your symptoms a bit so it's nothing to worry about if you don't have any.

Boobs have been agony since week 5. And this week (8) seems to be getting even worse . And even bigger

Bloating up like a balloon through the day. But 6pm I look 6 months gone. And I poo three times a day.

Hunger is easing now. I am no longer having to eat cereal at 4am which is nice.

But, no sickness, no tiredness more than usual. Peeing a little more frequently but not a huge amount. No food aversions. So far a pretty easy ride really.

Tiredness and a bit of cramping. Unpleasantness kicks in about six weeks for me.

The sore and painful boobies! Never known anything like it lol . Actually had shooting pains in them and couldnt even brush past something :( that was about 4/5 weeks .
That did go away after after 2 -3 weeks and the nausea kicked in dead on 7 weeks till about 16 as well as heartburn. Joy!!!

That's very early for symptoms, especially nausea.

First symptom was that my boobs were very warm to the touch (& a bit sore but not crazily) - usually if not you're not pregnant boobs are actually cool to the touch apparently ! After my BFP on day of missed period I felt great/normal for a week or so... Then suddenly the nausea and bloodhound sense of smell / everything smelling horrible especially the kitchen and fridge and loss of appetite started at about 5 or 6 weeks. Tiredness started creeping in around this time too & everything peaked around 9 weeks. I was never actually sick though. Good luck with TTC !

Hi i really hope you ladies may be able to reassure or help me...ive never been pregnant before, im 25 and have been ttc for the last 7 weeks...
we were having unprotected sex on and around ovulation dates(around 25th may) over the next two weeks i started feeling nauseous every evening that went away when i ate...found it hard to sleep too which is v strange for me!
Anyway..2 days before af expected i suddenly began spotting...i usually have lots of pre menstrual symptoms and period gets heavy quickly. This started off brown. V light..then pink. Was off and on and constantly changed colour..didnt need a tampon and only lasted a day and a half...usually its heavy for 3 days.definitley not a normal period or flow!
I took a hpt...negative!
It is now 11 days after this strange bleeding...maybe a light period or could it be implantation bleeding? I have sore teeth and gums, hot at strange times, feel sick, starving empty stomach in the morning, aching body, either no hunger or could eat loads, exhausted after work...straight home and napping for an hour at least!! Weeing a lot but could be due to the amount of water im drinking as soo thirsty and have constant head aches@ today my nipples have started itching..no change in colour though! Sometimes i think i must be making up all these in my head as ive taken 5 hpts since the bleeding and all negative?!! Am i mad?!!! Please help has this happened to anyone? I feel pregnant sometimes..try and ignore this due to the negative hpts then another symptom eill show up!! Xxx

Bosie, I would go to the gp to get it checked. Sometimes tests are negative, but they can see it in your blood.

@Hoping4baby21 that totally makes sense about the other clinic, if it's cheaper but offers the same treatment then you should definitely go for it. Exciting stuff, let us know once you start your cycle.

Nothing major to update from me, I feel really weird: I normally symptom spot and obsess in tww but this time because it's after ivf and because chances are higher I'm actually doing it less??? I think perhaps because the chances are higer and it makes it more tangible, I am allowing myself to believe it less as a self preservation thing in case it doesn't work out? Dunno.

That said I'm mostly just distracted by work, I'm sure once the weekend comes I will struggle to resist the urge to pee on a stick and see if I can get a bfp before my Tuesday bloods 😂
