Our baby has suddenly started immense hiccup sessions in the last couple weeks. Every morning I awake to hic hic hic. Then every evening hic hic hic. Why is this happening so often suddenly at 33wks? Anyone else had this?

Maybe it's just because it's got bigger so you're noticing it more? I don't think it's anything to worry about, both of mine always got loads of hiccups all the time, especially after eating something.

I think it's because the baby is bigger and you notice it more. I'm 37 weeks and baby is still at it. It's a funny feeling Smile

My DD used to get them all the time when she was in my tummy, pretty much every day. As a baby she would then get them all the time when she ate and giggled, and I have to say at almost 6 she still gets them way more than anyone else I know. But she is still a major giggler!!! Smile

My first one was a big hiccuper.. Grin And when he was born he still had hiccups.. What really annoyed me was the comments from other people that he is cold that is why he hiccup's. he was always swaddled in a warm blanket.. He also had reflux problems, based on the doctor it was related to the hiccups he had while in my tummy..
He is now 9 month and still gets it after he giggles to much or certain foods.. Grin
