MOM, sorry about the mc. I remember reading about you at the time. Having has x2 mc's I know where you are coming from.

Get on the "due in jan" thread and post a message. I wouldn't feel like you can't, I'm sure everyone will want to know how you are doing. Keep positive and hopefully you will get happy news soon. xx

carrotcake · 06/09/2006 15:45

Really sorry to hear that, mumofmonsters, hope you catch up with some of the people you got to know before.

LadyTophamHatt · 06/09/2006 17:35

hey MoM!

everything is fine here, nothing much to report. I've lost track of the thread now too TBH, I just can't keep up.

I was very rebellious today though....you'll be horrified at me.

I had peanut butter on toast. One whole slice!

peanut butter !!!

OMG it was lovely.

How are you?

katierocket · 06/09/2006 17:38

Ha LTH - I sent DP out to buy me a choc bar last night - left it up to him to decide what kind/. And he comes back with a picnic, with bloody peanuts in it. I just couldn't help eating some of it, he looked at me with a horrified expression.

I've given up on the jan 07 thread a bit, it's too long and I just don't have time to read through and say hi to everyone.

Hi Mom

Wisp · 06/09/2006 17:41

Hi MoM
I was about to join the Jan 07 board, when I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I often look how they are all getting on, and wonder how things would be different if I'd have not miscarried.
Im here if you want to chat

MerlinsBeard · 06/09/2006 19:20

LTH !!!

MerlinsBeard · 06/09/2006 19:25

Im not too bad Thanks MOM, a teeny bit envious, as I know theres def no more here (DH had a vasectomy)
I think the worst part for me will be the birth announcements, because I'll be so happy for them all,but also heartbroken I wont have one to hold myself. I just look at my DC every morning and remind myself how lucky I am to have them
Are you planning on more?

MerlinsBeard · 07/09/2006 11:10

We are yes. Not set in concrete though just an if it happens it will. far too scary to start ttc again properly. does that sound odd?

OP posts:
shhhh · 07/09/2006 12:56

mom, all I can say is "if it happens it happens". Wthen dh & I mc the part of ttc again was awful. We had gome from "loving" sex to "we have to do it, chore sex". Caused us problems and no end of stress. This was the case aftre each mc's. Sadly the mc's took the edge off "trying for a baby" iykwim.

You are right to not focus on it and if it happens it happens..Also people around us were waiting each month for signs etc. [anger].

We now have a dd and I'm expetcing again so it does and can happen. You have to be patient and support each other as much as possible. Life aftre mc is a very rocky road and sometimes I'm still on it 3 years after my last one...Lots of us are here for you if you need anything. xx

magnolia1 · 07/09/2006 13:13

Lol mom its not a rude magazine [grin Its called First Magazine

MerlinsBeard · 07/09/2006 14:18

Thank you for that Sssh, Glad you got ur bfp (god i hate that phrase!)

dp and i don;t really get much time for sex anyway and didn;t want the pressure of ttc as well as tunring teh rare session we do have into a make this the one kind of thing. besides, my cycles are still not normal so would be difficult and i imagine heartbreaking.

I seem to have convinced myself that to deal with it properly i need to prove my body can get pg again.

still, what will be will be

(am philosphical todaylol)

Magnolia, i got a free issue of first with something else this month,it was ok actually. please will; you let me know when its out? not that i want to perve at your naked body lolol! so i can put a face to a name iyswim.

mumofmonsters, I was just checking in with the Jan 07 crowd when I read your message. I'm really sorry to hear about your m\c, hopefully we will hear some happy news soon.

Not sure if this is something that would interest you, but I wanted to tell you about a program I have been doing, a good girlfriend who had problems recommended it to me. It's a not for profit organization in the UK who do preconception care. www.foresight.co.uk. I found them really amazing. They did hair testing on my dh and me (which did cost around £70 for both of us), tested the water in our house for toxins, and then recommended a vitamin and nutrition program for us to follow before and during pregnancy. I've been really impressed with the fact that they have given me lots of free advice. I rang them a couple of times and they were incredibly helpful on the phone. Pre-conception care is a pretty new concept (well, at least I hadn't heard of it before now) and I know lots of people are skeptical, but I have to say for me & my friends we are really happy we have done it.
