Blighted Ovum

I went for 12 week scan yesterday to find out that I have a blighted ovum. Very sad but wasn't meant to be. Am now faced with 3 choices : d and c, wait it out or drugs to help speed up the process. Head says wait it out let nature take its course but still not 100%. Would others who have sadly been in same boat be willing to share there experiences? Know it's personal but I would really appreciate it. Any stories of going on to have a healthy pregnancy also greatly received.

My choice will always be surgical management... it's just clean closure...
(had 2 of those)

Medical Management is painful and lonely (i shut myself in the toilet with painkillers and a book for the worse of it)

I wouldn't (and never did) wait it out as when I have my mcs diagnosed I just want closure and move on...

Hope you have your DH with you

(and I have a lovely daughter after 3mcs)

I went through the same with my first pregnancy. I opted for ERPC (D&C) simply because I had no clue how long it would take to happen naturally and I wanted it over with.

After suffering 2 natural (albeit earlier) mc subsequently, I would choose an ERPC every time.

Look after yourself, I am very sorry x
