Hi Everyone
I am 4 weeks pregnant and have just started getting cramps and spotting. Has anyone else has this early on?
I have read maybe it could be implantation but i would have thought at this point that would have already happened?
Starting to panic!!

Hi, if you are worried speak to your GP or Early Pregnancy Unit. When I have spoken to them they have always been lovely and they will give you the best advice. xx

Hi Claire

I am going through exactly the same thing. I'm only 5 weeks and only found out of Friday. On the Saturday i started with mild stabbing pains on right hand side, got to Monday they got worse and started spotting so called nhs direct who told me to go to the emergency dr who just fobbed me off and said he couldn't say what was happening but to just hope I wasn't MC - gee thanks for the help - got intense cramps and more dark red/ brown blood on Monday night, Tuesday morning it has stopped and I thought brilliant it was just a blip but then later in the day it started again and passed an unknown amount in the toilet - sorry for TMI! - so today after following the advise of the amazing ladies on here I went to A&E who did a PG test which was positive and so I got sent to the early pregnancy unit who did and internal examination and the dr said that my cervix was closed but there was some 'old' blood around it which was a good sign. Then I got sent for an ultra sound and the snotty technician said that she could see no signs of a pregnancy but 2 nurses told me that that may be cause it's so early. Had bloods done which came back with 580 HGC level and they have asked me to go back Friday to have more to compare and see if they are increasing. I have been bleeding again this evening but don't know if that is because I'm MC or because of the internal exam which was quite painful.
My suggestion is go to the hospital - don't start googling things because that has made me a million times worse - and go off what they said. The dr told me that cramping and bleeding can be normal at this very early stage. They will want to rule out ectopic pregnancy. I wish you the absolute best of luck, please let us know how you got on. I am praying to god that on Friday there is an increase in my hcg levels x
