Stretch Marks

I'm 33+2 and yesterday spotted my first stretch mark between my tummy button and bikini line. Was a bit gutted because thought I might get away with it, despite having a big bump. Went through a phase of slathering on the Cocoa Butter but had given up due to hating the greasiness. Is it worth bothering now or am I too late? Am I going to be covered in more marks over the next few weeks?

Sorry I know it's daft but just feeling a bit down about it on top of feeling enormous, hot, not sleeping etc. Sorry whinge over.

I've just found my first few at 33 weeks too :( hope there's not going to be too many more. I dint think the creams do much tbh I was using palmers for a while but think baby had a growth spurt thus week as I feel massive all of a sudden!!

I think it's worth it. They say if you want stretchmarks to fade well you have to treat them right away. Creams will also help with any itching.

I really liked Dermamum stuff, from Boots or Sainsburys. A huge amount for £12, no sickly smells, absorbs really easily. There's a cream and an oil.

Ive learnt to live with mine, at 16 my body looked like i already had 2kids! Water retention just made my body swell unfortunalty. But now im 22 and theyve all faded, ive learnt to just accept them over the years. Dont let them bother you and i promise they will fade, im kinda glad i had them in a way as they have aloud my skin to stretch without anyproblems and ive only gained 3 tiny ones on my tum and one where my bellybar used sto be :) im 35wks and huge! I still use my moisturisers and bio oil and i got a tub of mum&me stretch mark cream in my bounty pack monday so i. Going to add that into the mix :) i know they look horriffic but over time they will go normal again and hardly noticable x

Definitely not to late IMO...I have always used oil right until the end and my skin is not too bad stretch mark wise (few weeks to go before DC4 is due). Afterwards I used Bio oil.

I think it is partly luck of the draw but you may as well help things along. It's a shame you can't buy a skin shrinking cream...
