I had a growth scan today at 30 weeks. I take beta blockers so there is the risk I may have a small baby.

My baby is anything but small.. He has been measured at the 97th percentile. His abdominal circumference was off the chart. At the 20 week scan, everything had been all in proportion at around 50th percentile. Now all the measurements except his femur length are all at the top end, or above the scale.

I don't want to worry. I see the consultant on Friday, but I can't help wondering. Any experiences?!

I wouldnt worry too much chuck, as alot of ladies on here have experienced the scans arent very accurate. If it makes you feel better our lil mans measuring massive too! And has been since 20wks, i have another growth scan today and im exoecting him to still be ahead of where he should be lol hes been of the scales all the time except his legs lol at 32wks he was wstimated to be 5pounds 0.0 im now 35wks so gawd nows what hes been doing in there lol i hardly ate at all until about 25wks where i got my appetite back somi dunno where hes finding his miracle grow from but obviously somehwere in me body :) i really wouldnt worry too much, but if you are when it gets nearere the time, you can ask if an induction would be possible like im going to. Theyve told me because of the polyhydramnios i will be induced on my duedate but i dont want to go that far if hes expectsd to be 10lb+! Its my first and i dont want anymore complications lol and i can just see him getting stuck if im aliud to go full term and ending up having a csection :( wich i dont want x

Don't worry too much. The scans aren't very accurate. I had repeated scans with my first as they were concerned she was small and possibly not developing properly. She was born a very healthy 9lb 3oz!

When pregnant with her sister I said several times that the baby felt quite big but they weren't concerned. She was 10lb 8oz when born.

And don't worry too much about having a big baby. A petite, slim friend of mine has had 3 babies, each over 11lb without any problems.
