Brown spotting in 3rd trimester

I'm so bored about posting about brown spotting but, here I go again...
Haven't had any for weeks after having it on and off throughout the first and second trimesters, but today the brown spotting is back.
It's very similar to what I experienced before (light, just in underwear not when I wipe, a few spots) but now I'm 29+3 and officially in the third trimester I don't know if I should worry. The only phone number I have for this time of day is the labour ward and I can't really believe it's serious enough to phone them. I don't want to call anyone and feel stupid or like I'm wasting time (as happened the last time I called my midwife about something).
But am I being daft? Does this require a phone call? Should I wait until tomorrow when the Day Assessment Unit will be open? I haven't got any pains and baby seems to be moving (he's been very active all day).
Please help...

Call the ante natal ward - probably fine, but don't worry about wasting their time

Do phone them. It will take minutes and they'll be more than happy to help, honestly!

I called... They've asked me to go in to check. Feel like I'm wasting time but hopefully it'll be fine!

They were very nice, monitored baby and examined me. Again, no sign of why I'm spotting but they said if it happens again, come in again, so made me feel like I did the right thing. Phew.

Glad all is ok, following because I'm having problems too with intermittent (very light) brown spotting. I'm only 12 weeks, the scan looked fine but the spotting is ongoing (although it did stop for a few days, and is sometimes only once a day).

I think they'll always check third tri bleeding. I had an incredibly minor bleed (pink spotting, one off) with dc2 at 29 weeks, and was still monitored for an afternoon. They told me always to go in in that situation.
