Compression socks for flights - necessary/recommended?

Hello!

I'm going on holiday next week and was wondering whether there was any point in me getting compression socks for the flight. It's 2.5-3 hours each way and I'll be 25+3 on the way there, 27+3 on the way back. No circulation problems at the moment!

Also, if they are recommended, where is the best place to get them from? Not bothered about how they look!

I was recommended to wear them on a flight at 7 weeks due to the increased chance of DVT. I would imagine with more weight at 25 weeks it would be worse.

I was also advised to drink more than normal and walk about as much as possible but I was on a long haul flight. I got mine from boots years ago - opted for the black instead of the tan ones as they don't look quite so bad!!!

I'd say better be safe than sorry. My mw told me to get them for flight at 17 weeks.
I got them from boots. They should have calf, ankle and shoe measurements and my mw said to make sure I actually measure them rather than just use my shoe size and guess the rest. The shop had a tape measure for me to use.

They just look like knee high socks. I get them from Boots.

I have had a dvt and they are not fun, I can tell you!
