10 + 1 today and in quite a bit of discomfort when sitting. When I stand it's fine though so hoping it's actually trapped wind or something!

I've checked the NHS website and it's pretty non-descript; is it possible this soon to develop SPD or do I just need to pop some windeze?!

Thanks ladies

It can be possible to get SPD early, I had symptoms of it from about 12 weeks and it's only got to the "kicked in the undercarriage by a steel to cap boot" in the last 3 weeks. Mine is agrivated by standing all day at work and eases with sitting.

Try a nice warm bath, a couple of windeze and a paracetamol. If you end up farting like a trooper, then it's probably wind. If it comes back then pop to your GP or mention it your MW when you next see her.

Not sure about your symptoms exactly but I had a lot of pain around my tailbone as well as generally lower back/hips (not the front of my pelvis). I'm seeing a chiropractor for it, who said that if I'd seen my midwife shed probably say it was SPD, but it's not (misaligned pelvis and lots of sore muscles because of that... Anyway the point I'm trying to make is, mine is improving! So if it doesn't go away, you may be able to do something about it

Mine started at 8 weeks, but didn't get really bad until 17/18 weeks and then was pretty much housebound from 30wks onwards. However, the sooner you see physio about it and follow their instructions the more likely you are to avoid it getting worse. Hope you get better soon and it's not SPD - it really, really sucks.

Thanks ladies; it's calmed down a bit so it's either my work chair or any wind has dissipated.

Seizing midwife Friday so I'll mention that then
