Hi ladies. I had a membrane sweep today as I'm 41+2. Problem is I also have lingering thrush. The midwife said it was fine to use canesten/clotrimazole (I am using the applicator but not sticking it very far up) after the sweep, but since that doesn't really seem intuitively a good idea, I just wanted to check if anyone else has experience with this. She was lovely, but I had reason to think she was not totally 100% up with the science (I do not mean that disrespectfully).
Have not been able to get hold of my GP and the pharmacist helpfully said 'if the MW said it is fine, it is probably fine'.
