Is 33+4 to early to be well and truly over being pregnant?
Iv got extreme hayfever and am just hot and uncomfortable. Usually a summer person but would be the happiest girl in the world if I woke up to snow I could go lay in.
DS was born at 35 weeks and although for baby's sake I don't want a premie the thought of going passed 37 weeks makes me want to bang my head against the wall.
The "end" of pregnancy is Definitely more exhausting on the body than having a newborn.
I'm dying to sleep and can't because of hayfever so am up pacing the room getting more and more irritated by every sniff.
(Clearly having a bag night)
Anyone else wondering how they are going to go much longer and not feel like the finishing line is close enough to touch?
Come and have a moan with meConfused

Sending you a big hug Thanks
Sorry that you going through this..
Do you have any medication for the hay fever?
And you are almost at the end...

I'm 20 weeks so I have the entire summer still in front of me.. Smile

Sounds rotten. Go and see a homeopath ASAP, homeopathy can be really effective against hayfever (I swear it cured mine 12 years ago, not a sniffle since then) and it's safe in pregnancy. While you're there, ask for arnica etc to help with fast healing and emotional / physical support through labour and childbirth.

Hope you feel better soon.

So awful rather pacing maybe try sitting in a cool bath it feels lovely when you are to warm (that's pretty much all i did last summer as I literally felt like someone was cooking me!)
Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Get some alternative remedies for the hayfever . Check if you can take your usual eye drops and nasal spray.

You will need for after the birth anyway as you can't take most hayfever tablets when you are BF

I hated late pregnancy too and I went to 42 weeks

Big hugs hayley! I don't want to go into labour early either but I am wondering how I'm going to manage another 7+ weeks. I'm about to go to bed (9.30pm) and am hoping for sleep but it's crazy hot here at the moment. Also DD has a temperature and bad cold and is snoring her head off over the monitor (don't want to turn it down in case she needs me in night).
Hope you're asleep soon lovely.

elvislives2012 · 09/06/2014 05:40

I know how you feel! Am 35 weeks, no hay fever but rubbish back and bits pain!!! Theoretically it could be another SEVEN weeks.... Shock

allisgood1 · 09/06/2014 08:59

You can take benydryl for hay fever and it knocks you out Smile. Also invest in a portable AC unit before we get a heat wave and they double in price! I can't live without mine mid summer and heavily pregnant.

SouthDerbyshireMamma · 09/06/2014 09:37

I'm totally with you OP.

I'm 34+2 with my first and I can honestly say I'm fully fed up of being pregnant. I have girdle pain, high blood pressure, back pain, swelling and headaches Sad Still have 4 weeks until i break up for Maternity Leave too!

My poor Grandad is in ICU so i've been backwards and forwards to the hospital all weekend and running on about an hours sleep a night. At least I'm prepared for sleepless nights when little one arrives!!

This morning I've tried cheering myself up by washing all his clothes for the hospital bag. Typically as soon as I pegged it on the line the heavens opened!

Ahhhhrrrggghhh!

neversleepagain · 09/06/2014 09:56

I feel you pain! I was massively pregnant with twins over summer 2012 and it was extremely tough going. I measured term from 30 weeks (bump 40+ weeks according to my notes) so carried around a bigger than term bump for over 6 weeks in the middle of summer! One baby on my bladder and one in my ribs and two placentas. Not something I would do again.

squizita · 09/06/2014 10:23

Hoping you go to 37 weeks but not too much further IYSWIM.

I'm feeling the sweat and am only 26+ ... I feel for you ladies ahead of me!

EssexGirlLottie · 09/06/2014 10:26

I feel your pain. I'm 31 weeks pg and have been over it for some time. The last few days, my first trimester insomnia is back big time. So sick of lying on my side and I think I have heat rash or something as I'm itching all over.
And all anyone can say is, "get some sleep whilst you can!" - I wish I could!

BabyHaribo · 09/06/2014 13:23

Feeling your pain too.

Am 35 weeks hot tired uncomfortable and totally unable to sleep! DS is 2.5 and has got soooo much energy he's getting fed up with mummy needing to sit down all the time!

Popped at 37 weeks last time so fingers crossed for that again.

I don't like being pregnant in summer!

RAFWife12 · 09/06/2014 16:28

I'm 32+3 and so ready for it to be over! Counting down the days till i finish for mat leave (14 work days). Pregnancy is not easy - i've had pelvic girdle pain since 19 weeks. Midwife, physio and GP tell me to rest, but that isnt possible when living alone and have a high energy dog! Least once I finish work I will have help from my parents.
Hope for both of us we don't go over due!

Dizzywhore · 09/06/2014 16:45

I hear ya sister!! I'm 35 weeks and feel totally crap, the heat is a killer plus I have SPD which has got really bad and my almost 3 year old DD has been up and down for the last few nights, I think it's the heat. I'm moving in 2 weeks and feeling pretty damn stressed!
Hope your little one stays put until term. Good luck x

Scotmum83 · 09/06/2014 17:36

33 weeks today and not enjoying the heat. Starting get really uncomfortable at night too, support pillow isn't helping either!! I can't think what 40 weeks plus is going to be like!!

justhayley · 10/06/2014 15:23

Hiya glad I'm not the only one, feel almost guilty just wanted baby out now a I know from experience with DS that she would suffer if born now but pregnancy is summer is crap. If there's a DC3 I'll make sure we TTC to make baby due in the winter!

Ha hayley, I was thinking the same thing! Although dear dear DH installed an aircon unit a couple of weeks ago so the 35+C heat is more bearable at least now. As long as I don't leave the house.
