The cramps have continued today and yest and are period like but not as bad as friday. Did anyone else have this? Im worried its not normal? Xx

I had cramping to start with. Like period pains but worse! As long as there is no bleeding I believe its ok (I'm now 32 weeks). It's the uterus starting to stretch to make space for baby.

Cramping is totally normal. I kept having it throughout my first trimester as my uterus expanded. I'm now 28 weeks. Congrats :)

Yeah totally normally. With DD1 I dashed to the loo on numerous occasions due to cramps, expecting to have come on. I wasn't expecting to be pregnant and I was sure it was my period arriving.

Thanks so much everyone, i was really worried!!! Even though we were trying its all come as a bit of a shock still :-) Now if i can just find something to manage the chronic heartburn i have had the last few days and ease the nausea a little i will be well away lol!!

Gaviscon for heartburn, nausea is harder to get rid of by ginger or peppermint tend to help ease it.

Hello Smile

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I have been having period type cramps as if I'm coming on and like you am terrified that something is going to go wrong but after chatting to some of the women on here and other women in my life cramping seems to be a normal symptom as your uterus expands. It's not easy but I've been trying to put it to the back of my mind and jut think of it as a sign the baby's developing.

Hope that helps x

If gaviscon doesn't work for heartburn go to GP. It didn't work for me, I've been on omeprazole for mine!
For nausea never let yourself get hungry, that makes it worse. Try travel sickness bands - they were a god send for me! I just wish I discovered them earlier! Ginger did nothing for me.

Avarose it is definitely hard trying to ignore the cramps, even though i know i am pregnant i still keep defaulting to thinking im coming on or worrying about if its something bad. Like you hearing people say it is normal is helping.

I am currently using Gaviscon advance which i have used before as i have always suffered with acid indigestion and heartburn. Unfortunately this is on an epic scale and kept me up most of last night. I thought i would not have to worry about heartburn until much later in the pregnancy. I cannot take omeprazole as it gives me terrible headaches :-(
