Hi everyone. Im 39 wks and 3 days in my first pregnancy. Baby due on Wed 11th but really hope baby arrives before then. Went for a curry tonight and I have felt a few twinges. No "show' yet or anything else, so does anyone think this could be v early labour? Any advice on best things to bring on labour? Geting anxious as I am in a lot of discomfort and cant sleep, no more patience for this! Thanks, Carol

I'm 40+4 and have been having "contractions"/twinges for about a week now. I get a lot of (painless) braxton hicks through the day however I find at night I'm very, very sore. I've woken up a few times wondering is this it?! I've got a sore back and feeling a lot of pressure now down below.

I think with labour you can never really tell when it is going to happen.

Hopefully it's soon for us both!

Massive difference between twinges and early labour unfortunately. I don't want to put a dampner on it but don't build your hopes up until you get more substantial pains.

If they are twinges they could be something or nothing. If they are just BH or late pregnancy twinges, you can't magically turn them into labour by something you do. Sorry Smile. I do sympathise, I've been over with all three of mine.

I'm currently 40+1 and been having increasing bh and lower back ache for over a week. Yesterday I started with an upset tum and thought for sure things must be happening but today I feel fine. Get bouncing on a ball, uphill walking and nipple stimulation as this is supposed to help but I've been doing all that and still nothing. I have a sweep on Wednesday if he still hasn't arrived by then. Good luck!
